Scientific purpose: Quantifying carbon fluxes in an Arctica islandica habitat
Keywords: Eddy covariance, carbon budget, blue carbon
Abstract. This dataset contains eddy covariance measurements in an Arctica islandica habitat in Kiel Bight from September 04th, 2024, until the morning of September 07th, 2024. It further contains organic carbon contents from sediments in Kiel Bight, as well as from Arctica islandica shells, tissue, and (pseudo-)faeces. The dataset further contains organic carbon remineralisation rates from sediments off Kühlungsborn (May 20th – August 12th, 2025).
